Caroline Hakes work for her solo-show at Galerie b2_ in Leipzig (2022) focuses on still lifes that make the devaluation of the goods and their presentation visible. Large-format photographs show the department store Karstadt in its transformation as a collective display and transit space right before its closing. The idea of the display has been translated into the medium of a full printing sheet for the publication.
